I'm very concerned about my education, especially for my Master's degree. I am currently attending the University of Tennessee and have 2 more years left until I complete my Bachelor's degree in Chinese (Mandarin) Language/International Business. My next step is to figure out what I should do for my Master's degree I originally thought about going to a university in Shanghai, China but, of course, it's a whole other world to me; I have studied abroad in Spain but only for 3 weeks. At that university I would be studying Chinese business and language at a cost of only $5000 a year. My other option (perhaps my only other one) is to go to the Monterey Language Institute in California at a cost of around $50,000 a year...and I'm not the richest guy in the world. I have a feeling, however, that I would receive an excellent education there but I am just so unsure. My question is this: which of these would be more beneficial to me? Perhaps someone could give me other options that I have not found yet. One final question that I am concerned about is how beneficial would a Master's degree from a foreign country help me here in the United States? Thank you for your time :)... Read More »
